The Chateau Marmont is known as one of Los Angeles’ chicest hotels but what some may not know is how chic their on-site bar is. The Bar Marmont plays host to an array of celebrities and socialites but welcomes luxury lovers of all shapes and sizes. The interior is tastefully decorated with large mirrors and soft maroon booths. Their drink menu has everything from vodka to whisky to expensive champagne and boasts delicious concoctions such as the Framboise Sauvage made with gin, raspberry puree, lemon juice, simple syrup and champagne.
2 Mr. C in the Mr. C Hotel
This bar is known for both the food and the atmosphere. Hollywood’s finest likes to dine at Mr. C and it’s not hard to understand why. The restaurant menu features Italian classics such as specialty pizzas and grilled meats and the drink list is extensive and features classic liquors and wines. There is nothing intimidating about this place and the staff is both friendly and professional. The restaurant can be easily accessed from the hotel’s lobby or through the restaurant entrance off the main driveway.
3 Ten Pound The Macallan Bar in Scarpetta at the Montage Hotel
Scarpetta restaurant in the Montage Hotel recently opened their most exclusive bar, Ten Pound The Macallan Bar. This lounge is dedicated to fine scotch and is a perfect place to take your dark liquor loving friends. Lots of high-end liquors are served here in addition to scotch, such as designer vodka, whisky, and bourbon. This is the first Macallan Bar in the United States and therefore one of the most special spots in town. Keep in mind, because of its high status, this is a private bar, and we suggest calling ahead for details.
4 The Polo Lounge at The Beverly Hills Hotel
The Polo Lounge is one of Hollywood’s favorite spots for everything from breakfast to late night cocktails. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available, so for you outdoor lovers, this is the place to be. 5 The Tower Bar at the Sunset Tower Hotel
Designed by Paul Fortune and located in Bugsy Siegel’s old apartment, the Tower Bar in the Sunset Tower Hotel offers guests an intimate setting to enjoy cocktails, food, and live music. A fireplace and plenty of inconspicuous booth seating makes this location a favorite of many celebrities looking for a discreet place to chill out. The room is built to host approximately 80 people and they never go over capacity. If you’re feeling a bit famished, the northern Italian and French food here is delicious.
