Hautels: Integrated Mega Resort Galaxy Opens in Macau

With 50 food and beverage outlets, the world’s largest skytop wave pool surrounded by a 150-metre white sand beach, plus rooms, suites and villas from the Banyan Tree, Okura Hotel and the Galaxy Hotel, Macau’s newest destination resort has plenty to offer the discerning traveller.

After several delays, the public were finally able to see what the resort has to offer when Galaxy opened its doors on May 15 from its located near gambler’s mecca, the Cotai Strip, which, along with the city’s other casinos, has generated more revenue than the Las Vegas for the last few years.

Highlights include the world’s first and only The Macallan Whisky Bar & Lounge, with over 360 labels, including the complete range of The Macallan single malts dating back to 1937, and the exclusive China Rouge, a hybrid nightclub, bar and restaurant conceptualised by renowned Hong Kong designer Alan Chan that channels 1930’s Shanghai. Culinary offerings take a Pan-Asian route, with everything from Cantonese and Shanghainese to Chiu Chow and Taiwanese restaurants. The resort also features specially built concepts, including signature Mediterranean restaurant ,Terrazza, and the Banyan Tree Macau’s Belon Oyster Bar & Grill

The Banyan Tree Spa will open at Galaxy Macau later this summer, as will several other dining outlets.
