A sea of music lovers and sun-worshipping pool partiers poured into Encore Beach Club at Encore Las Vegas today to kick off Labor Day weekend in grand fashion. Both Will.i.am and apl.de.ap of Black Eyed Peas fame performed at the outdoor oasis.
Apl.de.ap got thing started and then was joined by Will.i.am as they performed high-energy Black Eyed Peas hits that had revelers dancing throughout the 55,000-square-foot pool area. When Will.i.am took the helm at the turntables, Nicole Scherzinger — the Pussycat Dolls lead singer and judge in this fall’s season of “The X Factor” — was so moved that she joined the superstar musician in the deejay booth and thrashed about showing off her sexiest dance moves.
Fans were then surprised as Lil Jon joined Will.i.am in the booth and gave an exuberant shout-out to the crowd. The music and party kept going until nearly 7 p.m. and was indeed an auspicious beginning to a holiday weekend chock full of high-powered deejays and producers slated to perform at Encore Beach Club and Surrender Nightclub.
