Haute 100 Update: Carolina Herrera Launches New NYC-Inspired Men’s Fragrance, 212 VIP Men

Carolina Herrera’s 212 VIP fragrance franchise has been extended to include a new scent for men, 212 VIP Men, and aims to capture the style and attitude of New York City’s modern man. The ingredients behind the fragrance are said to be inspired by the Big Apple’s most exclusive parties, and the scent significant of its exclusive male guests.

“My new fragrance, 212 VIP Men, is an homage to the New York nightlife and the scores of men who make this city so alluring, interesting, fascinating and mysterious to so many people around the world,” explained the designer.

The fragrance is composed of luxurious inspirational whiffs of New York City society – ginger, black pepper, leather, amber, king wood, and a chilled vodka cocktail with frozen mint, lime caviar, and alluring spices.

The scent came to fruition by Herrera and leading perfumer David Apel. “Many of our early discussions were about masculine notes since I wanted a particular fragrance that would leave a lasting impression,” commented Herrera. “David was also there with me during the brainstorming sessions for the new packaging.”

The branding follows with the scent’s city inspiration, with the ad campaign being shot in a secret NYC location and bottle design that features a silver flacon shape reminiscent of a towering skyscraper – also designed to complement the gold color scheme of the feminine 212 VIP.

The sexy new scent is currently available in European travel retail in 50 ml and 100 ml edt, aftershave lotion, deodorant spray, and deodorant stick.
