Fashion’s Night Out – Fashion, Cocktails & Music

Fashion’s Night Out… five hours of stars, soirees and shopping. This year’s FNO for me was all about the fashion, cocktails and music. Last year’s FNO I tried my best to cover it all. Uptown, mid-town, down-town…. fabulous if not a tad bit overwhelming for me . I decided this time to pick one neighborhood and  take my time to enjoy all the night’s festivities. I was in the mood for spectacular fashion, delicious cocktails and great music. Meat-Packing District bound and ready for an FNO adventure. You may or may not know this about me, I am obsessed with Brazilian culture. I was told Carlos Miele was having  a Brazilian themed party at his 14th street store, it was my first stop of the night. Brazilian models sipping  LEBLON Caipirinhas and Vita coconut water, fashionista’s shopping the special FNO collection…it was a sexy and fun time.

I was lured to the Tory Burch store on Little West 12th by two things. The fabulous fashions and the amazing spinning of celebrity DJ Cassidy. White wine and locals beers flowed during the store event. The crown was lively with some dancing, I will admit that I also danced up a little bit of a storm.

My very good friend Ann-Marie Martinez of the One Group invited me over to STK  downtown for the  Honesty Jewelry Fall collection preview. I met the designers of these gorgeous hand-made jewelry close friends Nicole Jones and Chantel Watkins, such amazing energy, we sipped on delicious St Germain cocktails and chatted  about fashion week.

After STK the plan was to continue going to a few more stores, but I heard through the grapevine that supreme Diva Chaka Khan was performing live at the Hugo Boss after party in the Dream Downtown Hotel. I was determined to make it over there to hear one of my favorite singers of all time. My gracious husband Joseph met my good friend Tamara and I at the Dream Hotel and we were escorted to the roof top to this exclusive private event for Hugo Boss. It was fabulousity at it’s best. Chaka Khan was spectacular, she never missed a beat, the crowd was sexy, models, celebrities, fashionista’s… all screaming ” Chaka Khan”. It was heaven and the perfect ending to Fashion’s Night Out 2011. I hope you enjoy the pictures. I tried my best to keep a steady hand,  the cocktails and all.
