Rolls-Royce Expands Bespoke Operation

Due to growing demand for custom-made Rolls-Royce vehicles, the super-luxury British manufacturer is expanding its Bespoke operation.

The Bespoke operation is a trademark service by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars thatis based at the home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood in West Sussex. Due to growing demand, the operation is will be expanded with a surge of team members including designers, engineers and project management staff. The designers and engineers will be recruited for manufacturing and project management functions. Operational support functions will also be expanded in areas such as product marketing and sales. This overall expansion will double the headcount by the end of 2011 and bring the number of Bespoke experts throughout the business to more than 50.

Throughout 2011, Rolls-Royce is reporting they have seen a significant increase in customer demand for personalized features which transforms the already-immaculate vehicle into a unique, hand-crafted masterpiece brimming with individuality.

Bespoke operations allow customers to commission motorcars to suit their personal lifestyles. For example, picnic sets can be color-matched to the car’s interior, carefully selected luxurious interior materials can be added and even the creation of storage for an owners belonging can be implemented.

As Rolls-Royce celebrates 100 years, it speaks volumes to hear that personalization of top-of-the-line luxury vehicles is increasing around the world.
