HAUTE AMBASSADOR : Dori’s World

I began my European summer adventure by arriving at the gorgeous Aman Resort in Montenegro. What an amazing place. To kick off the summer festivities, I attended a dinner thrown in honor of Nat Rothschild’s birthday at the Olive Restaurant, located on the water with an outstanding view. There was fabulous food, but more importantly, there were fabulous people. The candles and lights lit up the dance floor and the evening turned out to be the perfect welcome soiree.

Among the crowd of fabulous people in attendance were Nicolas Berggruen, Dino Lalvani, Ozlem Onal, Meredith Ostrom, Nellee Hooper, Rob and Anne-Cecilie Speyer, Avery and Gigi Mortimer, Tamara Mellon and Omer Karacan.

After my quick stay in Montenegro, it was time to pack up and head to the South of France. It was so nice to see all my friends – Rena Sindi, Coralie Charriol, Ulla Parker, Mark Cohen and Maria Buccellati.

He chartered a yacht, The Christina 0 for 40 of his friends for three days making stops in Saint Tropez and Corsica.

Summertime, especially early in July, is my favorite time of year to vacation in Saint Tropez. The restaurants aren’t too crowded and hotspots such as Le Club 55 have a nice mix of patrons.

The first amazing party in Saint Tropez was held at the gorgeous home of Goga Ashkenazi.  The top-tier guest list included Johnny Depp, Lawrence Bender, Tamara Beckwith, Caroline Stanbury, Richard and Chris Mack, Ali Rubler and Inga Rubenstein. There was a dinner for 300 people and an incredible performance by the legendary Grace Jones. We were dancing all night long, even through the after party. Other exciting nights out included dinners at Hôtel Le Baron, a big David Guetta concert at Byblos and a party thrown by the wonderful Christian Voigt.

Another exciting night was at the part hosted by Simon Reuben and his wife Joyce and daughter Lisa at their Saint Tropez villa. Some of the attendees were Marc and Denise Rich, Richard and Karen LeFrak, Guy Dellal, Marjorie Gubelmann and Larry Gagosian. We started with cocktails around the pool and then were escorted up to the main house where more than 200 people were seated for an amazing dinner – and of course dancing later on until 3 a.m.

The highlight of my summer in Saint Tropez had to be my birthday. My friends Reza and Mayram Ahkan hosted the most beautiful celebration for me, which included a seated dinner for 80 guests followed by a DJ and disco that had everyone up and dancing. More friends who celebrated with me were Karen Larrain, Jonathan Lourie, Thomas Leclercq, Cynthia Kaufman, Jennifer Raines, Jean-Pierre Murray, Alexander von Furstenberg, Ali Kay and Sabrina Müller.

Up next was Ibiza -I love it there and I have not been in at least 10 years. It was good to be back.

My first night I stayed at the Gran Hotel then moved into a villa. It’s funny how modern Ibiza is now. Everyone was there – Tamara Beckwith, Ronnie Madras, Giuseppe Cipriani and Mark and Eugene Birnbaum. And of course that night we went to an event at Amnesia for Nicolas Berggruen’s birthday party.

The next night, myself along with Richie Akiva and Ronnie Madras went to an event at 1 Oak then to the new place LIO and the next night at Pacha.

Most days we took the boat to lunch at Formentera. We also stopped by at the Blue Marlin, and La Caleta for some yummy seafood. Joining me were Carolina Parsons, Eddie Winston Churchill, Noah Tepperberg, Jason Strauss, Wayne Boich , Nicky Hilton, Rico Mansur, Andrea Dibelius, Rodrigo de Santiago, Miguel Fabregas and Denise Kaufman.

But the best part of Ibiza is the great music. I will be back more often.

I went from Ibizia to Cap Ferrat, France to relax for a few nights. We stayed at the Grand Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, had dinner at a friend Rodrigo De Santiago’s fabulous villa one night and another night at Tetou, then off to Monaco where we hit up the Hotel Hermitage, Monaco Beach Club,  Jimmy’z Night Club and then a birthday party at the new Schrager restaurant, A’Trego.

Then I jetted off to Sardinia with Henrique Pinto, the famous Brazilian. He chartered a yacht, The Christina 0 for 40 of his friends for three days making stops in Saint Tropez and Corsica. I was one of the lucky guests invited to sail with him. On board there was a masseuse, gym, movie theater, fabulous lunches and dinners, and of course, discos and parties.

He was the most generous host and we celebrated his 40th birthday on board the yacht with friends like Sabrina Müller, Ana Paula Junqueira, Richie Akiva, P. Diddy and Alicia Silverstone.

One of the best parties in Saint Tropez was Thomas Leclercq’s party. It’s the one black tie event in the summer, but why not? He definitely goes all out.

There was caviar, dancers, bands, DJs, all sorts of performers and even tigers – yes, real tigers. One of the highlights was when a DJ was singing to Denise Rich on the moving carousel. All the usual Saint Tropez subjects were there, and we partied until at least 4 a.m.
