Yet another location for fans of Louboutin’s red soles. Launched at the end of July 2011, the Christian Louboutin boutique in the Dubai Mall is the designer’s second stand alone store in Dubai as well as third location in the United Arab Emirates.
Situated on Fashion Avenue, the Mall’s prestigious shopping area, the boutique willl retain signature Christian Louboutin design features such as the niche wall and use of acrylic displays while juxtaposed with exotic, handpicked textiles to create a modern authentic aesthetic.
212box, a New York based design firm, were appointed to design the space with principal architect Eric Clough working closely alongside the designer. The concept was conceived to showcase the designer’s instantly recognizable collection within a dynamic setting reflecting Louboutin’s passion for travel through interiors sourced from Syria to Japan alongside subtle nods to his French heritage.
The boutique is comprised of seven shopping areas including an intimate VIP salon which bears a collage of ceramic tiles embossed with letters and symbols from more than 32 world languages.
The launch took place soon after the launch of the Saks Bahrain boutique in January this year, and a standalone store in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in June, prime locations which add to the label’s growing presence within the Middle East.
