Chef Miguel Aguilar Introduces a New Menu at WKB

We recently reported that Chef Miguel Aguilar was appointed to helm the kitchen at Wynwood Kitchen & Bar (WKB). Now, Chef Aguilar is happy to introduce a new menu of specials and small plates.Chef Aguilar’s signature global-Latino flavors are present in each new menu item. The small plates are intended to be mixed and matched, allowing each diner to personalize their meal.

A few items featured on the menu are black bean soup, three crisp salads (including an especially fresh one with avocado, hearts of palm, artichokes, shaved local carrots and tomatoes) and hummus served with roasted peppers, cucumber and warm pita.

Chef Aguilar’s global-Latino twist is most apparent in the hot dishes like flavorful chicken ropa vieja empanadas, a mélange of clams and mussels flavored with a broth of Cantimpalo chorizo and a variety of chicken, steak and seafood skewers. For a heavier meal, try the pork tenderloin with shallot gravy and apple-jicama slaw or the pan-seared snapper with corn salsa and fennel herb salad.

Veggie lovers will rejoice at the sight of plates like roasted local mushrooms with rosemary and garlic as well as brussel sprouts with bacon and caramelized onions.

The chef’s new decadent desserts include coconut upside down cake with whiskey caramel sauce and a decadent chocolate bread pudding with crème Anglaise.

The new dinner menu will be available beginning tomorrow, August 26. Make your reservations now to debut the chef’s exciting new cuisine.
