Cabaret Floridita

Wondering what to do on a Wednesday night? Wander to Wardour Street and be wowed by Cabaret Floridita, at the eponymous Cuban themed venue.

On Haute Living’s last visit, we were treated to some stunning performances from the cream of London’s cabaret talent including Nathan James (of Thriller Live! fame), The Jersey Boys’ Rachael Wooding, tantalising Titan haired teaser Sophie St Villier, Kate Gillespie and, our favourite, The Globe Girls  – a glitzy group of drag queens who put on one hell of a show. Throughout the evening, the girls changed constantly changed costumes – each time to reveal something skimpier and glitterier than earlier, before belting out a medley of kitsch, camp pop that never, not even for a nanosecond, lost its fizz to a glossy crowd.

The gloriously over the top entertainment can be enjoyed over a sumptuous three course meal (expect the likes of likes of salmon and tiger prawn ceviche, spit roasted suckling pig with garlic, lime and oregano and charcoal-gilled chicken churrasco, washed down with a daiquiri), served by an army of waiting staff – who turn more heads than a model walking through a shopping mall.

The performances run from 7.30pm until midnight, after which DJ Ady fires up the dance floor until 2am in this stylish, Soho supper club. All told, this is undoubtedly one of the best nights out in London right now and the perfect antidote to the miserable weather – catch it while you can!

Cabaret Floridita is taking place every Wednesday throughout September at Floridita, 100 Wardour St, London W1. Cabaret & three course dinner for £35, free entrance to the bar. For more info or to make a reservation call 020 7314 4000 or visit www.floridita.co.uk/london/cabaret
