Bouchon Bakery Takes on Pizza

Thomas Keller is a household name when it comes to fine dining and delicious delicacies. But now you can also attribute his name to mouth-watering pizza.

In the recent months, Keller has opened a casual backyard operation serving friend chicken and barbecue and even more recently the Yountville Bouchon Bakery began serving pizzas on Tuesday nights. While French Laundry employees have been reportedly enjoying the high end slices of heaven for some time now, they decided to share the joy with the public, but in limited quantities for now.

The pizza venture is still just a small-scale operation with only 30 pies available for pick up every Tuesday evening and only by advance reservation. Orders must be picked up at the Bouchon Bakery window at 6pm.

If this sounds like something you’d want to get your hands on, ordering is pretty simple. There is only one size (18-inch) and one price ($25 plus tax) and the list of toppings is a short one consisting of classic choices like pepperoni, pepperoni and jalapeno, cheese (mascarpone, goat and mozzarella) and “French Laundry Garden” which is a changing special of whatever is fresh that day.
