1.  What makes La Costa Haute?

The exquisite and legendary history of La Costa is just as present today as it was over 50 years ago, with an elegant modern twist as The Next La Costa, fresh from a $50 million renovation.

2.  What is your favorite room/suite in the hotel?

La Costa Room ~ these rooms seamlessly blend the sunny outdoors with the indoors, drawing upon nature’s color palette of soft greens, creams and Day Lily Gold.  At 600 sq ft, these spacious rooms offer a comfortable sitting area, custom-designed desk ideal for intimate in-room dining, King or Double Queen beds and stylish conveniences to keep you entertained and connected.  A marble bathroom features oversized soaking tub, separate shower, dual vanities and is stocked with signature La Costa Coco Mango Spa amenities.  Many La Costa Rooms offer private patios for stargazing and relaxing under the California sunshine.

3.  For sushi, which restaurant would you recommend to your guests?

Tomoyamas (Corner of El Camino Real and Alga)

4.  Tell us about a perfect day in San Diego.

Warm and sunny in the 70’s, with a light breeze and light ocean breeze (pretty much 80% of the days here in San Diego). The day would start with a walk along the 101, stopping at one of the many great breakfast spots then hitting the beach for a day of fun in the sun and enjoying the surf.  The key to fully enjoying “America’s Finest City” is to explore the outdoors and engage in the many activities San Diego has to offer.

5.  What are some special amenities available at La Costa?

Guests can enjoy the #1 Spa in southern California, The Spa at La Costa, where nature inspires, invigorates and indulges the senses through a fresh Spa Café menu and all-new treatments and interiors.  La Costa also offers two PGA Championship golf courses, six pools and 17 tennis courts.  For the foodie, we offer a brand new farm-to-table menu at BlueFire Grill, debuted by our new Chef de Cuisine, Greg Frey Jr.
