W South Beach, which celebrates two years gracing our sands this month, has decided to stay devotedly true to its reputation as a fashion-forward hotel and mark the anniversary with a limited-edition bikini created especially for the property by UK-based designer, Melissa Odabash.
Meant to portray the glamour that has come to be associated with the W South Beach, Odabash’s two-piece creation features a graphic print of the python variety and is accented with gold hardware for extra elegance. The cut—a bandeau top with removable straps and dip-front bottom—is traditionally flattering.
Odabash described the synergy best: “I loved doing this collaboration with W South Beach – it’s my favorite place to stay because it mixes fashion, art and music all in one. It’s a lifestyle brand like mine and I designed something in my trademark style and animal African print that suits both mine and their clientele.”
Appropriately timed, this release is in step with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Miami Swim, which will take over a lengthy stretch of Collins Avenue for a week in mid-July. Editors, buyers, celebrities and swimwear aficionados the world over will flock en masse to the streets of South Beach to celebrate all things swim.
The bikini is available at W The Store at W South Beach during the month of July and will retail for $161.
