John Rosatti brings a Palm Beach favorite to Ocean Drive: Vic & Angelos Coal Oven Enoteca. The third installment in South Florida, Vic & Angelos brings the first Coal Oven Pizza to Miami Beach.
Vic & Angelo’s award-winning specialty pizza is characterized by its raised crust with cheese baked onto it pre-sauce. With ten specialty creations and à la carte options as well, Vic & Angelos is sure to please any palate. Two favorites are the Mott Street, topped with Pepperoni, Mozzarella, and San Marzano, and Truffle with Wild Mushroom, with truffle cream, wild mushrooms and truffle cheese.
Chef Paul Griffin prepares various other authentic Italian dishes, staying true to the Le Marché Cuisine style unique to specific regions of Italy. The menu features 15 fresh pasta dishes like Tortelloni, Lasagna, and Rigatoni, each crafted from imported Italian pastas and covered in fresh sauces made from imported tomatoes. Signature favorites include the hand-rolled 11oz Kobe Meatball, crafted by a meat specialist, the Shrimp Penne Alla Vodka and the traditional Sunday Gravy, which combines a giant meatball, pork, sausage, San Marzano tomatoes, and impastata.
Also on the menu is a range of traditional Italian desserts like Tiramisu and Cannoli as well as a variety of Italian wines. Vic & Angelo’s features a special Sunday brunch menu and a late night bar menu.
Along with the incomparable Italian food, the restaurant’s atmosphere is upscale and unrivaled. Lynn Interior Design designed Vic & Angelo’s South Beach to create a contemporary Mediterranean atmosphere. The space features flat screen televisions, two outdoor patio areas with built-in fire pits and lounge seating, and an upstairs dining area, closed off by a glass enclosure, perfect for private parties. There is also a lounge area with sofa seating and a DJ station for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
