Regina Arriola’s Travel Diary: A Packing Challenge

One Month, One Wardrobe, One Suitcase.

Fitting one month’s wardrobe into one suitcase can seem like an impossible challenge. Like most ladies, initially I found a reason to pack just about everything in my closet. See, I am a very moody dresser. How should I know how I will wake up feeling? Will I be in a jeans and a t-shirt sort of mood, or will it be the day that I choose to wear one of my to-die-for Osklen dresses? After much consideration, I realized that the principle of packing, is to pack principles. By principles I mean those pieces… the white collared shirt, the pencil skirt, the blazer… that provide a canvas for any outfit. I chose to pack dresses as my principles. Dresses are key as they can take you from day, with a pair of Lanvin ballerinas (shoes that I swear by), to night with a great YSL heel (be good to your feet, buy a pair). That’s one thing I could not go light on… shoes. Lastly, a great piece of luggage is a worthy investment. Some of my recommendations are those by Tumi, Patagonia, Goyard, and Bottega Veneta. With these suggestions in mind, the packing challenge can be accomplished. Next stop, London!
