In honor of the 150th anniversary of the unification of the Italian region’s individual states into a single republic, the City of Beverly Hills hosted a weeklong series of events – collectively denoted “La Dolce Vita” – revolving around the best of Italian automobiles, fashion, food and film.
As a part of La Dolce Vita’s “Gioiello Week” initiative, organized by the Italian Trade Commission, designs from the most respected Italian jewelers on Rodeo Drive and in Beverly Hills were on display. A select group of boutiques in Beverly Hills including GEARYS Beverly Hills, a leading supplier of jewelry from premier Italian designers, held events and offered guests special promotions in observance of the historic occasion.
A special in-store event took place on June 18 to kick-off the celebrations and, in addition to the other exciting events that took place in-store, guests were offered cappuccino and Italian desserts as they shopped. Throughout the week, GEARYS introduced new Italian jewelry designers, and a spectacular display of a classic Italian Ferrari balancing on four porcelain espresso cups designed by Richard Ginori was the centerpiece of the events. The Italian jewelers that participated in the GEARYS events included Buccellati, Antonini, Versace, Mariani, Zydo, Issimo, Marina e Susanna, NANIS Italian Jewels, Marilú Fernandez of Palermo, Italy.
