The path to a happy heart is love. This Sunday, June, 12, the beautiful hearted and smart Michelle Sanchez, sole owner of Cheeburger, Cheeburger City Place for the past 6 years, will host a fabulous and fun event all for the Big Dog Ranch Rescue. When asked what she most wanted to communicate about the event and organization, Michelle said, “I have been a sideline supporter of Big Dog Ranch Rescue for some time now but in December 2010, I lost the love of my life “Dusky” my 12 year old male Weimaraner to cancer. I was devastated to say the least & literally paralyzed with greif for months. I then decided the best way to honor his memory was to join the fight in saving abused, neglected &forgotten about dogs & placing in loving homes. Some of these poor babies have been physically hit, shot, burned on fire. Some have literally been dropped of at the facility at a senior age just because it wasnt convienent for the owners any more. Then there is the stories like Carlos (whom I just rescued a few weeks ago) that were born into a shelter & literally forgotten about in a cage since he was 4days old. I am now an active member of the BDRR board & do what I can to support them. I am super passionate about this cause and feel that this motto sums it up best: Saving one dog may not change the world but, to that one dog his world will be changed forever.”
