Perennial’s Vibrant Relaunch with a Virant Touch

Post Chef Ryan Poli’s departure, Perennial was prepared to do damage control. The former Lincoln Park hotspot was completely gutted, redesigned, re-conceptualized and relaunched in under 4 months. Reopening this week to rave reviews, gone are the memorable birch tree ceilings, nautical vibe and clean, American contemporary eats.

In it’s place is a more lounge-y environment, a sure to be bumpin’ summer roof deck (attached to the site of a future hotel next door) and farm fresh tapas from Green City Market across the street. At the menu helm is Paul Virant (obviously being given major props since his name got added into the restaurant title) most recently of Vie in Western Springs has also included stints at Charlie Trotter, Ambria, Everest and Blackbird in Chicago.

The only question remaining is whether it will be the same LP crowd that the Boka Group is known for.
