Miami Heats up with the Opening of Bikram Brickell Yoga

Brickell residents will soon be looking even more svelte and strong as the much awaited Bikram Brickell Hot Yoga Miami opens this weekend with an invite only grand opening event on Saturday.

The opening festivities kick off with the founder of Bikram Yoga, Guru Bikram Choudry performing a traditional Indian lamp lighting ceremony symbolizing luck on Saturday night.  The evening then moves from the studio to Dolores but you can call me Lolita for a reception hosted by the yoga studio owner Nacho Cano from the Spanish band Mecano.  Mayor Tomas Regalado will make an appear and present a key to the city to Bikram Choudry.  Choudry has also donated his classic Rolls-Royce, once belonging to Gypsy Rose Lee, to a special auction with all proceeds benefiting earthquake relief in Japan.  The VIP party goers will get to bid on a new pair of wheels and dance up a sweat to DJ A-ROG  or practice their flamenco moves to a live flamenco guitarist scheduled to perform that evening.

The new studio located at 90 SW 8th Street will be the largest Bikram yoga studio in Miami and the only one offering Spanish language classes.  The luxurious interior, designed by Nacho García Vinuesa, features a warm, welcoming interior and houses eight private dressing rooms and showers.
