Haute Spa: New Yoga Facial at The Kahala Spa

Yoga has been practiced for more than 5,000 years and today about 11 million Americans are sold on its health benefits.

So if yoga can help with flexibility, strength and balance, it could help us look younger, too.

That’s the idea behind facial yoga, a new kind of yoga that focuses on strengthening and toning the muscles in your face.

And it’s the latest addition to the treatment menu at The Kahala Spa at The Kahala Hotel & Resort.

At this award-winning spa, an esthetician guides you through different facial poses and exercises that work to increase circulation and strengthen facial muscles to create a healthier, more youthful look. (Even TIME published a photo gallery of facial exercises that helps tighten and tone muscles and combat aging.)

After the facial workout, you are rewarded with an acupressure massage to release unnecessary tension and return balance to your face. Rounding out the treatment is a cocktail of facial firming serums to leave you looking rested, relaxed and rejuvenated.

The 90-minute yoga facial costs $280.

The Kahala Spa is located at The Kahala Hotel & Resort, 5000 Kahala Ave; 808.739.8938.
