Save the Date: Piedmont Park Conservancy’s 15th Annual Landmark Lunch

Spring is finally here and what better way to celebrate the season than by putting on your favorite hat and enjoying lunch under the tent at Piedmont Park with some of the city’s most influential residents. Join the Piedmont Park Conservancy Center as they show off Piedmont Park’s newest landmark, the Legacy Fountain, and engage in a provocative discussion during their 15th Annual Landmark Lunch.

Beginning at 11 a.m. guests will take in the stunning views on top of Piedmont Park’s new meadow, The Promenade, while overlooking a spectacular new interactive water feature, The Legacy Fountain. This new attraction features more than 70 jets reaching up to 30 feet in the air and LED lighting capable of showcasing more than 1 million lighting configurations. After a brief social guests will be treated to a flavorful lunch of locally sourced cuisine and a panel discussion lead by the Attorney General of Georgia, Sam Olens titled Are Extreme Weather Patterns the New Norm for Georgia? Members of the panel for this engaging discourse include four of Atlanta’s favorite meteorologists, Markina Brown of CBS Atlanta, Glenn Burns of WSB-TV, Ken Cook of Fox 5 Atlanta and Chelsey McNeil of 11Alive. With proceeds from this magnificent event going to funding the continuing restoration and enhancement of Piedmont Park, the 15th Annual Landmark Lunch will be the green event of the season.

The 15th Annual Landmark Lunch will take place on Thursday, April 28, 2011, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Promenade at Piedmont Park. For more information and to purchase tickets go to www.piedmontpark.org.
