The upcoming Boston Fashion Night will allow shoppers to mingle, shop, dine, and listen to music this Saturday, April 30. There will be great shopping at the Tannery and you will be part of a premiere “Social Shopping” experience in Boston!
Below is my exclusive interview with Reaz Hoque the founder of the event and SYNERGY Events.
Haute Living: How did Boston Fashion Night come into being?
Raez Hoque: Boston Fashion Night has been an effort in the making for some time now, even before Fashion’s Night Out came onto the scenes. We at SYNERGY events love to provide social experiences for our guests and our focus has been strictly on Fashion related events for the past five years. About two years ago, we thought of having a social gathering where guests can shop, party, hear unique music, and savor food inside multiple retail entities. This gave birth to Boston Fashion Night where high-end shops would be given the opportunity to participate and display their products and services to an elite audience and we would work with the stores to create a social experience unlike any other. The timing however wasn’t right since the retail economy in Boston took a nose dive in recent years. Year 2011 is where are finally ready to launch this event as the retail economy is getting better in Boston.
Haute Living:What are you most looking forward to at the event?
We are looking forward to giving the selected stores and vendors that are involved the right exposure for the event. We want our guests to appreciate the effort it takes to put together such event and support the night by coming out, enjoy themselves and grabbing a few items they would not find on any other night.
Haute Living:For shoppers what is an advantage to checking out the Boston Fashion Night Event?
Shoppers will find a new meaning for “social shopping” that night. They can shop with friends, meet new people, eat food, hear music, taste some specialty drinks all in one night. The excitement of the night is about having your friends with you and catching some great deals on new and upcoming merchandises. We will also have a few stylists at various stores where shoppers can get valuable advice on what looks good on them and what doesn’t.
