Haute Event: Tao Beach Opens with Irina Shayk Hosting and Jamie Foxx on the Mic

Irina Shayk hosts the opening of Tao Beach.

Sunny skies and famous faces ushered in the fifth season of Tao Beach on Saturday. Supermodel Irina Shayk played host for the festivities, bringing her mom along for the celebration. When asked her beauty secrets, Shayk shared, “Enjoy life, go to Vegas,” explaining “If you are happy on the inside, you’re happy on the outside and it shows.”  The stunning supermodel took center stage at the grand cabana overlooking the pool and the entire party.

Beautiful women were everywhere, with actresses Gabrielle Union, Sophia Bush, Garcelle Beauvais and Dania Ramirez all taking in the scene from a cabana. Vegas was the last stop on a week-long road trip for Bush and she chose to end it with a glamorous last day at Tao Beach. When Bush arrived Union greeted her with a round of shots. Ramirez, Beauvais and Union all soaked up the sun on the chaise lounges in front of their cabana and danced around. Dwight Freeney of the Indianapolis Colts joined Union in the cabana later in the afternoon.

Columbus Short was spotted partying with girlfriend Tanee McCall, and Glee’s Max Adler and his girlfriend kept cool with frozen treats and specialty cocktails.

The afternoon saw the arrival of Jamie Foxx, who made his way to the grand cabana and quickly took hold of the mic. “I came to Tao to party and have a good time. That’s what Vegas is about.” Foxx and DJ Ross One teamed up to take the party to another level, getting the pool-goers to sing along to every hit played. He sprayed the crowd with Champagne and also made sure to let everyone in the crowd know that Tiesto was hanging out in the grand cabana. The famous deejay was mobbed by guys and girls alike. Tiesto, who stayed at the party until the end, was seen spraying people with a giant water gun.

Foxx pulled up both Union and Beauvais for the packed pool to see and also had the entire venue salute Nate Dogg, who recently passed away. After staying on the mic for nearly two hours, Foxx finally sat down to catch some of the NCAA game on the flat screens inside the cabana and snack on some of the signature dishes from Tao Beach.

Jordan Bratman arrived later in the afternoon, joining the party in the grand cabana with several guy friends.
