Haute Event: Little Lighthouse Hosts 2nd Annual Hearts and Stars Gala

March 19 was a night of excitement and smooth wining and dining as the supportive guests glided into the Held at George Wallner’s gorgeous Shangri-La waterfront mansion in Hibiscus Island ready to spread compassionate awareness, and all ready to have an outstanding time doing so. The assembly was fit for a Hollywood extravaganza, as the delicious hors d’oeuvres were plentiful, and the lavish cocktails were personally provided by GREY GOOSE. In 2010, the Little Lighthouse Foundation’s first annual “Hearts and Stars Gala” was a major hit in South Florida, and this year was no different. The event  not only supports children and families that have suffered health, education, and financial challenges, but they did so with immense style, grace, and amusement.

Fabulous fashion hit the scene of the event, with a special presentation by extraordinary designer, Luis Valenzuela. Buster Cox proved to be the “Host with the Most” as he eloquently provided guests with a graceful timeline of happenings, and witty remarks that were both tasteful and entertaining. Music was also a powerful force during this event, as there were many fantastic performances to be heard such as Pras, Agape with Nadia Harris, and the world renowned Shelley Renee. These immaculate artists lit up the stage showing their talent for music and their support for the cause. Notable guests of this event include Melky Jean, Kenny McCraney, Dana and Gary Shear and Brittany Rawlings.

The 2011 second annual “Hearts and Stars Gala” was an equal, if not bigger, success than the first one, and it is a sure thing that there will be many more galas annually, the preceding even more spectacular than the previous.
