Haute Couture: Prada Revamps and Re-Opens Hong Kong’s IFC Store

The contemporary jewel-box effect that designer Roberto Baciocchi has infused into the newly renovated Prada store at Hong Kong’s International Finance Centre is sure to make shoppers curious of the treasures that lie in wait behind the shiny glass walls.

The black marble façade sets off the iconic brand’s name and sends the eye past the glass Prada’s extravagent ready-to-wear collection and accessories. The 2,800-square-foot store is features two large spaces which are separated by a black and white marble checkerboard floor, reminiscent of the historic Prada store in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan. One side of the boutique is home to men’s apparel and the other dedicated to women’s apparel.

Sleek materials such as polished steel frames, smoky mirrors, and clear glass, offset sumptuous fabrics like the ivory ‘saffiano’ leather and rich velvets that have been used on surfaces and furniture throughout the impeccable new store.
