Fancy a midweek game of golf?  The Annual Reid & Fiorentino Call of the Game Dinner and Celebrity Golf Classic begins on Wednesday, March 9 at the Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort and Club in Aventura. This two-day charity event hosted by HEAT TV broadcasters Eric Reid and Tony Fiorentino promises to be a who’s who of sports and South Florida community stars with all proceeds benefiting Lauren’s Kid’s Foundation and Dade Schools Athletic Foundation.

Wednesday’s Celebrity Golf Classic is the moment to put all your driving and putting skills to the test as 56 teams of four people will be led by celebrity captains who will try and show each team the path to victory on Aventura’s two exclusive championship courses. Past celebrity participants include basketball and football superstars well versed in leading teams to a win like Glen Rice, Tim Hardaway and Chad Henne. Another opportunity to show off comes courtesy of the Hole-In-One Challenge where the winner takes home a car courtesy of AutoNation. The day wraps up with a post golf reception where participants will receive awards and prizes.

Friday evening will have guests putting away their clubs and putting on something a little more elegant for The Call of the Game Dinner at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The dinner will include both a silent auction and a live auction featuring sporting and music memorabilia and luxury vacations, among other items.  Fans of silent auctions can get a head start by going to to view and bid on the silent auction items and compete with other online bidders from across the country.

The highlight of the evening will be the awards ceremony honoring South Florida’s Community leaders.  Among the past and present winners are many of Haute Living’s Haute 100 including, Dwyane Wade and Tracy Mourning and this years Don Shula Sports Legend Award recipient Alonzo Mourning who will be honored for bringing the same passion he demonstrates on the playing field, off the field to his community.
