Save the Date: Miami Beach Polo World Cup Rides into Town April 21 – April 24

It’s time for Miami’s yearly polo fix as the AMG Miami Beach Polo World Cup competes on our sandy shores for a 7th year in a row. Billed as the world’s largest and most prestigious beach polo competition, the action, beauty and excitement of the tournament promise to make Miami feel a bit warmer beginning April 21 as competitors like Brazilian model Paula Chermont and polo superstar and model Nacho Figueras hit the sand.

April 21 features the women’s one day championship and April 22 begins the men’s three day tournament. Among the top notch players competing this year are Sunny Hale, the number one female player; Nicolas Roldan the number one male U.S player and long time polo player, Miami Beach local entreprenuer, Nathan Lieberman, and South Florida native John Walsh, presenter of America’s Most Wanted and spokesman for The National Foundation For Missing and Exploited Children which is also one of the participating charities at this years event.

The weekend will have something for everyone from the polo aficionado to the novice looking to find out more about the sport while enjoying the crowds and beachside atmosphere. Besides the talent on display during the matches there will also be live concerts, parties and fashion shows including one by La Martina who has also designed a commemorative polo shirt for the tournament with all sale proceeds going to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami, the tournament’s official partnering charity organization.
