Save the Date: 32nd Annual Food Fare Fundraising Event

The infamous “Two Hot Tamales,” Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger, are at it again for charity. On Thursday, March 10, the dynamic culinary duo behind Border Grill Restaurants will host their 32nd annual Food Fare at Santa Monica Civic Auditorium to benefit Planned Parenthood Los Angeles, a long-standing organization dedicated to affordable reproductive healthcare.

With a successful, signature plan of attack—come hungry and leave charitable—the lovely ladies plan on hosting more than 150 of Los Angeles’ finest restaurants, including Ammo, Il Grano, Lucques, and Church & State. A variety of local wineries and top-notch beverage companies, such as Rosenthal Winery, Pasquini Espresso Co., and Kombucha, will also make appearances, so best to come thirsty too.

The ticket prices are definitely worth it at this palate-pleasing gala for a cause, which got its start back in 1979 thanks to a cooking-for-charity demonstration by female DIY pioneer, Julia Child. Daytime (10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) tickets cost $150 in advance and $175 at the door, while nighttime (6:30 to 9:30 p.m.) tickets cost $225 in advance and $250 at the door. Roughly 30% of each ticket will go toward Planned Parenthood Los Angeles and a silent auction filled with coveted items will add to the total amount gathered.
