Haute Fashion: New Collection from Lulu Bare Created Specifically for Dubai’s Weather

Navigating your wardrobe to reflect your geographical location is no easy feat, especially when you reside in a humidity soaked climate such as Dubai or Singapore. With this in mind, sisters Louise and Claire Alves have created Lulu Bare, a collection purely for the endless summer days. Both sisters have worked for over a decade in fashion; Louise hails from Dubai shopping institution Boutique 1 and Claire at Chanel followed by Instyle UK.

Due to the career paths of their husbands which led to Dubai and Singapore, the girls discovered a need for clothing that was suitable for hot climates yet also stylish. The concept of Lulu Bare was born.

Combining soft lightweight jerseys, delicate cottons and cool silks all fit for coping with the heat and intense humidity of these two expat cities, Lulu Bare presents their first collection: Flight of Fancy. The dresses are simple cuts; many above the knee with a silhouette that floats around the body to allow for freedom of movement. The first collection debuted last week in Singapore and this week in Dubai which was an immediate success. Most of the collection sold out at the invitation only viewings proving the strong desire for year-round summer fashion.

There is a huge trend towards individuality – a backlash from the saturation of high-street garments so Lulu Bare has kept this in mind when producing the collection; each design is created one piece, per size, per city so the wearer is assured not seeing the design on a multitude of women. With the next collection due out before the onslaught of the fierce summer heat, Lulu Bare will be a welcome wardrobe staple.
