Haute Event: Par Fore The Cure Hosts 6th Annual Golf Ball

This Saturday, March 26, join Par Fore the Cure at their 6th Annual Golf Ball, a creative golf-themed black-tie gala at the Harvard Club in Boston. The combined proceeds of both the gala and the annual June golf tournament will be donated to the Jimmy Fund. To date, Par Fore the Cure has contributed more than $300,000 for brain tumor research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Research in Boston.

The 6th Annual Golf Ball, presented by EMD Serono, a biopharmaceutical division of a German global pharmaceutical and chemical group, will kick off at 6 p.m. with the opening of their silent auction. Prizes include a one-week stay for up to ten guests at a vacation home in Outer Banks, NC; hotel stays at the Hotel Viking, the Ritz-Carlton Boston, Fifteen Beacon Hotel, Mandarin Oriental, W Boston, Hotel Commonwealth, and the Liberty Hotel; two tickets and backstage passes to “Rock of Ages” in NYC; autographed memorabilia by Curt Schilling, Mike Lowell, JD Drew, and John Lackey; paintings by Jeff Fay and Mark Waitkus, and a family portrait session with photographer David Fox.

The Harvard Club will provide gourmet catering throughout the evening complete with raw bar and passed hors d’oeuvres, followed by a sit-down dinner served at 8.

The evening will continue with two guest speakers (17-year-old brain tumor survivors); entertainment from Boston band White Lightnin’; and dancing until 12:30 a.m.

Ticket prices start at $100 per individual and range up to a Grand Slam package that includes a table for ten, tickets to the VIP cocktail hour prior to the gala, and a foursome at the June 18 golf event for $1,750.
