Haute Event: Chef Deborah Schneider at the Newport Beach Public Library

Ready for some real-life food tv? On Tuesday, March 15th at 7 p.m, the Newport Beach Public Library will continue its What’s Cooking at the Library series with SOL Cocina’s Chef Deborah Schneider. In addition to sharing her secrets to Mexican cuisine, she’ll be signing copies of her latest book, Amor y Tacos, and greeting foodies and fans alike.

The menu includes SOL House Margaritas, Pico de Gallo, Naked Guacamole, Avocado Caesar Salad, Chicken & Cheese Enchiladas, Salsa Ahogada and Warm Chocolate-Banana Bread Pudding with Cinnamon Crème Anglaise.  In addition to enjoying a discussion and demonstration of the menu, guests will have the opportunity to purchase complete recipes in her most recent cookbook. Chef Deb will be able to sign the copies of Amor y Tacos, which allows chefs to emulate Chef Schneider’s exciting spin on modern Mexican food and cocktails right at home. The cost of the class is $20 per person and guests may register online at www.newportbeachlibrary.org.

The What’s Cooking at the Library series offers foodies the opportunity to participate in an up-close cooking demonstrations with some of Orange County’s most talented chefs at an affordable price. Many of the county’s favorite chefs in the Newport Beach area have participated since the series began in 2010.

The Newport Beach Public Library is located at 1000 Avocado Ave., in Newport Beach. For more information about Chef Deborah Schneider’s demonstration, call the library at 949.717.3800, extension 2, or visit their official website at www.newportbeachlibrary.org.
