Haute Dining: Indian Nights at Café Sambal at Mandarin Oriental Miami

If you want another excuse to enjoy what Mandarin Oriental has to offer, you are in luck. Café Sambal at Mandarin Oriental in Miami introduces “Indian Nights” dinners beginning tomorrow, March 10 and every Thursday evening after from 6 to 11 p.m. These dinners will include live entertainment by a sitar player, lavish Indian decor and a special family-style menu prepared by guest chef, Jayaseelan Mariadoss.

This Indian themed dinner will have a menu that will include culinary creations from Jayaseelan’s Bangalore origins, as well as from Delhi, Bombay, Madras, and more. All the ingredients used will come directly from India, making sure that every dish will be authentic as it can be.

Savory starters like Soft Shell Crab Pakora with tandoori shrimp and calamari along with a kebab tasting that include a wide range of samples of Chicken Tikka, Fish Tikka, Sheek Kebab, and Paneer Tikka. It will almost feel as if you were actually in India, savoring traditional dishes entrees from Bombay like Chicken Tikka Masala, shrimp Malai curry, and saag paneer or from Delhi with plates like chicken noorjehani, lamb roganjosh, shrimp shajahani, and aloo gobi. Authentic Naan bread and basmati rice will also be served. Sweet desserts include traditional Indian sweets like Rasamalai and Mango & Pistachio Kulfi.
