It seems like in Hollywood, “it clubs” come and go like last season’s bad trends. But we’ve got the scoop on one soon-to-debut club that promises to remain on the L.A. Radar for quite some time; and it hasn’t even officially opened yet. Enter Tru Hollywood, a tri-level nightclub/lounge/supper club that is expected to revive the sophistication and glamour of Old (and “true”) Hollywood.
Located in the heart of Hollywood, the long-abandoned space where China Club used to be at 1600 Argyle Avenue, Tru Hollywood is the definition of luxe. The glittering event space features a large foyer with quartz wallpaper, hallways with sparkling diamond walls, and plush furnishings and decor that are adequately described as “retro-chic.” Tru will also feature a small plates and tapas menu of refined items like crab cakes, tuna tar tar, hummus, potato croquettes, and fennel beat salad.
Below Tru, will be an exclusive underground lounge, aptly named 1 Below, which boasts decadent velvet sofas and crimson drapes keeping the VIPs safe and undisturbed.
Although neither Tru nor 1 Below have not yet opened to the public, the space has already hosted such celebrities like Nick Jonas, Vanessa Hudgens, Kelly Rowland, Gucci Mane, and NBA stars Derrick Rose and Shannon Brown.
1 Below is scheduled to open on Monday, February 28, with Tru’s official opening closely following.
