Guests of the winery are offered a tasting menu on a picturesque patio that overlooks the entire valley.
Twenty years ago, Japanese video game creator Kenzo Tsujimoto and his wife purchased and developed what is now known as Kenzo Estate, a 100-acre vineyard in Napa, California. Several thousand forest-like acres wind up to the rich, green, perfectly manicured vineyard, which is situated on the slopes of Napa’s Mount George. Several thousand acres wind to the top of the mountain and there’s a bowl of vineyards with the winery in the middle. The sight is just breathtaking. My familiarity with the property stems from my childhood. I grew up on this property riding horses when it was known as Wild Horse Valley Ranch. The barns, arenas, and a cross-country jumping course still exist on the property, which, much to my excitement, may be utilized again in the near future.
In 2003, I joined the Kenzo Estate team as a winemaker and to help design the winery and caves. I crafted the first vintage in 2005. One of the unique aspects of the Kenzo Estate is its food pairings created by Chef Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bakery. Guests of the winery are offered a tasting menu on a picturesque patio that overlooks the entire valley. Each tasting tour includes a walk through the wine caves and winemaking facilities. If you enjoy drinking wine or looking at beautiful scenery, please come join us for an unforgettable experience at the Kenzo Estate.
