When leaving Las Vegas there are several billboards informing one how to “do Vegas right.” Well if you stayed at the Aria in their Sky Suite, then that mission has been accomplished. Located on the City Center property, Aria is the latest in Las Vegas’ attempt to do away with a stint of family friendliness and put the “sin” back in sin city. With understated elegance, no tacky theme, and arguably the best location on the strip, Aria is poised to redefine Las Vegas luxury.
Staying in Aria’s 2,0000-square-foot Sky Suite comes with several benefits, which start at check-in located in a private lobby filled with Perrier, chocolate covered strawberries, and every imaginable flavor of cookie. Check-in is, for the most part, standard, but without the commotion and confusion of the main lobby. The Sky Suite really begins to shine when the door is opened and the curtains are automatically drawn to reveal a breathtaking view of the strip only attainable from the 30th floor. Standard amenities for this style of penthouse include televisions in every room, remote control of just about everything, and a bidet that most are probably too shy to use. The decor fits with the rest of Aria: modern and tasteful. It’s clean, and that’s not because of the crew who sneak chocolates on the pillows. The lines are elegant and if I knew anything more about feng shui, I’d say the flow is fantastic. In short, the suite is quite spacious, although about half the square footage is devoted to bathrooms the size of most standard hotel rooms.
With so many options in high-rolling on the Las Vegas strip, Aria presents a very compelling argument to stay at City Center and never have the slightest desire to leave. With Haze nightclub only a few floors down and newly opened Marquee next door at The Cosmopolitan, entertainment is not in short supply.
Aria is located at 3730 Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, Nevada 89158; Call 866.359.7757 for reservations.
