Earlier this month, Fiorentini + Baker opened its first flagship boutique in the U.S. at 54 Mercer Street in SoHo. Carrying an extensive line of its versatile, yet chic shoes, signature biker boots and a new collection of bags, belts and accessories, as well as limited pieces from its collaboration with renowned fashion designer Anna Sui, the new store is already the hot topic among celebrities and fashionistas in the chilly streets of New York City. The brand will celebrate the opening with a special event at the boutique next month.
The 1,500-square-foot space reflects both the urban edge of London and the understated sophistication of Italy that London born designer Deborah Baker infuses into every shoe, boot or accessory.
Based out of Bologna, Italy, the brand was created in 2001 with the idea of everyday wear that never goes out of style. The black military-style boots can be worn year-round, either with a flowy floral print maxi-dress in the spring or a leather jacket and jeans in the fall.
While Fiorentini + Baker designs are sold worldwide in stores such as Barneys NYC and Selfridges London, this first-of-a-kind boutique will showcase their distinctive edge and craftsmanship, and will expand the clientele, which already includes the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker, Halle Berry, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Biel and Alessandra Ambrosio.
“The SoHo store opening represents the success of intense business development in the U.S. market and we are planning future U.S. openings in Los Angeles, among other locations in 2011/12,” said Baker.
Store Hours: Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Friday, Saturday 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Sunday, Noon- 6 p.m.
