Nothing says “I love you” more than a decadent box of gourmet chocolates. So in honor of Valentine’s Day being right around the corner. We’ve put together a list of the best places to buy chocolate in all of Miami. There’s nothing wrong with a little sweet indulgence on the most romantic day of the year.

1 Ghirardelli

This famous 150-year-old San Francisco-based chocolate company is the longest continuously operating chocolate manufacturer in the United States. Although Ghirardelli chocolate is fairly prevalent on the West Coast, the Miami Beach location on Lincoln Road is only one of two Ghirardelli outposts on the entire East Coast. One bite into their signature squares of pure chocolate and you'll know we named them number one.

2 Romanicos Chocolate

This Miami-based chocolate company creates 100 percent hand-made chocolates.  Founder and owner Alejandra Biagai came to the states from Venezuela in the 1990s, and has since built a successful business around her tasty little treats. Perfect for gifts, Romanicos' creative boxes can be made with one-of-a-kind packaging. You can even have your company's logo (or for Valentine's Day purposes a personalized message) hand-painted onto each tiny chocolate IN chocolate.

3 Kilwin's

Kilwin’s has been around for a while, but they’ve only just recently set up shop in Miami, and quite daringly I must say, only steps away from Ghirardelli!  Upon entering this family-owned confectionery shop, you'll be filled with the sweet smell of chocolate covered pretzels, nuts, and fudge, which is only part of their appeal. And even though there are more than 50 Kilwin’s locations throughout the U.S., each property makes its chocolate on site. Stop in any time to try their free samples; though we warn you, you’ll probably end up coming out with more than just a sample.

4 Le Chocolatier

Le Chocolatier Fine Handmade Chocolate has been part of Miami since 1980. The family-run business, which is owned by husband-and-wife duo Joseph (an artisan chocolatier) and Marlene Marmor, craft chocolate out of their one and only kitchen in North Miami Beach. Le Chocolatier has risen to the top of local, national and world renowned chocolate makers thanks to their established reputation for supreme quality and delicious flavors.

5 Marzionna Chocolate

This North Miami Beach chocolate shop has been making fresh, all-natural gourmet chocolates since 1976, though chocolate has been a part of the Marzionna family since the early 1900s back in Italy. Decades later, hand-dipped chocolates remain the family forte,  specializing in chocolate truffles, gift baskets, and special occasions.
