You already know that SOL Cocina is the place to go when you’re craving an out-of-the-ordinary twist on Mexican, but they’re expanding their menu (you’ve been to their Sunday brunch, right?) and adding even more irresistible tacos to their already impressive selection. Try one of these and you’ll never be able to go back to plain old carne again.
New appetizers include Apache Beef, diced raw beef filet ‘ceviche” style with habanero chiles, onions, tequila, lime, jicama, tomatoes, diced avocados, sweet potato & beet chips and corn & shrimp cakes – corn, shrimp, peppers and black beans, deep-fried and served with mango and avocado salsas. New tacos include the beer battered mushroom taco (pictured above) and a new spicy ceviche with fresh lime and orange, habanero chiles & tropical fruit, avocado, cucumber and pico de gallo.
A wood-grilled Kobe skirt steak, shrimp chile relleno and more are also new additions to the menu, so as much as you have your favorites at SOL, it’ll take a few more visits to try Chef Schneider’s latest offerings. And don’t be surprised if you find a few new favorites while you try them all.
