If you missed The Second City comedy troupe‘s last performance in Arizona, “The Second City Does Arizona, or Close but No Saguaro,” we’re excited to inform you that the group is returning for a limited time only with a brand-new show, called “Sex and The Second City: Version 2.0,” making its world premiere at the Arizona Theatre Company.
The riotously funny performances will take place in Phoenix March 10-20 at the Herberger Theater Center, and in Tucson March 23-27 at the Temple of Music and Art. Tickets went on sale to the general public Jan. 3.
The Second City is one of the most well-known and respected sketch comedy and improvisation troupes in the world. And the organization’s training programs in Chicago, Toronto and Hollywood have launched the careers of some major stars, including those of Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Bill Murray, John Belushi, Gilda Radner and others.
In “Sex and The Second City: Version 2.0,” the comedians will be poking fun at all the chaos, confusion and mixed signals involved with falling in love in the digital age, in which sometimes the very technology created to make our love lives easier only makes things more complicated. Be prepared for some hilarious improvisation, as well as audience interaction, guaranteed to make you and your date laugh out loud.
Tickets start at $30 and are available for purchase through the ATC site, through the box office in Phoenix by calling 602.256.6995, or through the box office in Tucson by calling 520.622.2823. (Groups of eight or more save at least 20 percent off regular ticket prices.)
Arizona Theatre Company | The Herberger Theater Center is located at 222 E. Monroe Street in Phoenix
