Mandarin Oriental Miami Features Ehlers Estate Wine in Honor of National Heart Month

With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, we would be insincere if we didn’t keep the heart in mind. For all of February, Mandarin Oriental Miami’s Azul and Café Sambal restaurants will feature wines from the historic Ehlers Estate. If the thought of pleasing your palate with exquisite wines while enjoying the gorgeous view isn’t quite enough, perhaps we can speak to your inner philanthropist.

Ehlers Estate, located in the northern St. Helena region of Napa Valley, has been synonymous with environmental consciousness (their vineyard was awarded with organic certification in 2008), international philanthropy, and sterling wines. The estate is the product of Jean Leducq, a French vintner, wine lover, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. Knowing this about the founder, Ehlers Estate could not be more perfect for this event.

In honor of National Heart Month, all proceeds of each glass of Ehlers Estate’s Sauvignon Blanc and 120/80 (“One Twenty Over Eighty”) Cabernet Sauvignon that are sold will be donated directly to the Leducq Foundation, a non-profit organization in Paris dedicated to international cardiovascular research. On Feb. 11 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Ehlers Estate and the Mandarin Oriental Miami will kick off this celebration with a tasting party held at the stunning Azul Champagne Bar. For $30 per person, a gift will be made to the Miami chapter of the American Heart Association and guests can mingle amidst the gorgeous Miami skyline before enjoying a series of hors d’oeuvres expertly paired with Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon “1886”, and the previously mentioned blend called “One Twenty Over Eighty.” Now that’s what we call charity work.
