No matter your mood, it’s always the right time for a taste of the sweet stuff. From old school favorites like Lemonheads and Dots to more modern creations, we adore every little candy bite from the sweet to the sour. Grab a bag and pile in the goodies at one of these Philly treat shops.
Just off South Street sits a sweet emporium that understands that sometimes, it's just too hard to choose. Grab a bag and mix and match -- from Swedish fish to Whoppers to Sour Patch Kids -- and pay just one price per pound. You'll also find Phillies-themed Pez dispensers, cotton candy and special event sweets.

2 Sweet as Fudge Candy Shoppe
Those Amish know how to turn out some mean treats, and they prove it yet again with the homemade fudge at this Terminal stall. If the smell of the warm chocolate goodness doesn't draw you over, perhaps the hot roasted peanuts or the wall of traditional penny candies will. You can also pile handfuls of gummies, Ashers Chocolates and trail mix into your bag before you pull yourself away.

3 Nuts to You
The first time we wandered past this casual little bulk shop we got a nose-full of super-fresh popcorn and found ourselves turning in the door. We left with a massive bag of the still warm salty goodness under one arm, but also with bags of other irresistible treats. Cream-filled caramels, gummy worms, chocolate-covered pretzels and crave any sweet need, while other offerings like coffee beans, dried fruits and nuts round out the snack attack.
4 Edwards Freeman Nut Company
Don't let the name fool you: the store was founded back in 1899 as a peanut distributor, but has since become a sweet mecca. You can still get every nut under the sun, plus house-made butters, but the walls of bulk candy bins are what bring us back time after time. Find the BB Bats and candy cigarettes you loved as a kid, every color of jelly bean you could want plus packaged, gourmet treats like our favorite liquor-infused chocolate bottles.

5 Gumdrops & Sprinkles
Gummy bears in ice cream. Yes, please. At this Main Line sugar shop, it's totally possible. With more than 120 bins of candies to choose from, plus a full-stocked ice cream stand, you can pick your poison or mix them together. The shop even holds birthday parties, because what's better than 15 nine-year-olds in a room full of sugar?
