Haute Living Hits Haute Couture: National Fashion Director, Jilian Sanz reports

The haute couture presentations tell a story of greatness, both of quality of construction and innovation of design. This story seems to best be told in the confines of a Parisian backdrop. And so, I crossed the pond to bring you the highlights of what’s to come from the world’s most prestigious fashion and high-jewelry houses. Expect imagery and details marking the magic behind it all throughout the week, but here’s a small tidbit to satiate your thirst for all things haute couture in the mean time.

At 5pm this evening, The Palais de Tokyo doubled as home to the Chanel watch launch. While details of the timepiece’s design are under embargo until March, I can share that the exploration of time and how Chanel plans to next represent it was a sensory experience the likes of which few could have delivered better than the famed French brand. A veritable wonderland of a presentation culminated in the unveiling of a watch that I can assure you will top your list of must haves come spring.

Next I’m off to la rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré to experience the exclusive preview of Roger Vivier’s limited edition collection, Rendez-Vous. Stay tuned for images of the collection, which promises to consist of really special pieces. Bruno Frisoni and Inès de la Fressange will be on hand to walk me through the collection, and I’ll be back to share the magic with you.

Until then, à bientôt.

Bisous,

Jilian
