The grand opening weekend of the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas kicked off Thursday night with the debut of Marquee Nightclub and Dayclub, where famous faces toasted the new venue.

Stars turned out for the exclusive private bash, which featured a performance by indie rock band Florence + The Machine. Couples spotted included Jay-Z and Beyonce, who came to check out Beyonce’s sister Solange Knowles, who deejayed in the club’s Library room along with Samantha Ronson, on again duo Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez, Haylie Duff and Nick Zano, Channing Tatum with wife Jenna Dewan, Ellen Pompeo with husband Chris Ivery and Mel B with Stephen Belafonte.
Also catching the private concert were Blake Lively and Jessica Szohr of “Gossip Girl” fame, Kellan Lutz, Jamie Lynn Sigler, Kirsten Dunst, Emmy Rossum, Bonnie Somerville, Shiri Appleby, Taraji Henson, Lucas Haas and Emmanualle Chriqui. Fellow musical artists John Mayer and Jared Followill of Kings of Leon arrived in time for the show as did Brandy, Christina Milian, Lance Bass and Fab Five Freddie.
Reality stars seen at Marquee included Rob Kardashian and Kyle Richards from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” while notables from the culinary world included Chef Jose Andres, Gail Simmons and Giada de Laurentiis, while designer Alexander Wang and model Selita Ebanks represented the fashion segment.

International superstar deejays Erick Morillo and DJ Vice walked the red carpet before checking out their new home. After the concert Wilmer Valderrama hopped on the stage with DJ Vice, hyping up the crowd in the main room while upstairs in the library Jay-Z and Beyonce held court next to the deejay booth, enjoying a special set from Samantha Ronson that included plenty of the couple’s hits. In between sets, Ronson challenged Chris Ivery to a game of pool while Ellen Pompeo looked on. The “Grey’s Anatomy” star donned a dress designed by Nicole Richie that she gave to her specifically for the opening of Marquee. It was at Richie’s recent wedding where Pompeo and Ivery made fast friends with Ronson.

After rocking the main stage Florence came up to say hello and ended up engrossed in a conversation with Beyonce. Jared Leto arrived after 3 a.m., coming straight from his rehearsal and headed right to the Library, where he was spotted admiring the “librarian” cocktail servers.
