What Made Him Haute: Best known for his action-packed star studded films like “Top Gun,” “Black Hawk Down,” “Pirates of the Caribbean” and many more, its no wonder this producer is nicknamed Mr. Blockbuster. Crossing over in the early 2000’s to Television (but not abandoning film) he produced successful shows including “CSI” and “The Amazing Race.” Impressively, from 2003-2009 he, along with other producers, won the Emmy for Outstanding Reality — Competition Program each year for The Amazing Race. Other publications have taken notice of his incredible success, he was Premiere’s 2003 annual Hollywood Power List, 10th money earner in Forbes 2006 list and in 2007 named the 14th smartest person in Hollywood by EW.
What Makes Him Haute Now: Still living up to his name, he has produced recent blockbusters such as the Pirate’s sequels, “Deja Vu,” and our favorite “Confessions of a Shopaholic,” and continues to produce television series “CSI.” His film to come out in May, “Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” will be shot with state of the art RED cameras to produce a stunning 3D film that we can’t wait to see. In television, he has recently pitched an animated series to network CBS that will bring the pages of the Zits comic on screen. Years later, he is even more successful, he has climbed the Forbes rankings and is now #39 in Power and #2 highest paid with $120 million. We can’t wait to see more of Mr. Blockbuster in 2011.
