Gussy Up Your Golden Globes Evening with Moët & Chandon

Gold Award Season Moët & Chandon Impérial bottle and The Silver Screen Punch

For a few hours each year Los Angeles’ rapidly beating heart slows to witness two celebrity-studded events; one of them being the Golden Globes.

This Sunday, Jan. 16, brunette bombshells and delicate blonde actresses will line the red carpet in wine colored gowns, while dapper gentlemen of Hollywood don tuxedos. It’s a formal, no-frills affair that pays tribute to the cinema’s classic elegance.

I challenge you to bring a little bit of that same glitz and glamour into your home this weekend as a way of appreciating the films that have captivated over the past year. Throw a traditional cocktail party and sip what the celebs are sipping, Moët & Chandon, the exclusive Champagne of the 2011 Golden Globes.

This year, the renowned label released a Gold Award Season Moët & Chandon Impérial bottle to mark its 20th anniversary with the Golden Globes. Available through March 31, the limited-edition bottle is available for purchase at most fine wine retailers.

And if you want to get really fancy, concoct some of celebrity chef/home entertaining expert Katie Lee’s Silver Screen Punch. Guests will surely be impressed after they find out the designer libation is the same one being served to stars the night of the event.

The Silver Screen Punch

1 (6 ounce) can pink lemonade concentrate, partially thawed
8 ounces pineapple juice
1 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
1 cup Belvedere vodka
1 bottle Moët & Chandon
1 pineapple cut into rings and frozen

In a blender combine pink lemonade concentrate, pineapple juice, strawberries, and ginger. Blend until smooth.  Pour into a punch bowl. Add vodka and stir to combine. Just before serving, pour in Moët & Chandon.  Garnish with frozen pineapple rings.
