1 Tyler Florence
After becoming a well established Food Network celebrity and best selling cookbook author, Tyler Florence decided to open his first restaurant in San Francisco. Though the restaurant only opened in June 2010, it is already a San Francisco staple. The restaurant is packed at every meal with hungry patrons waiting to taste their 20thcentury inspired pub cuisine.

2 Elizabeth Faulkner
Elizabeth Faulkner is a world famous pastry chef and has appeared on such shows as Top Chef, Iron Chef, and Martha Stewart Living. Her first venture, Citizen Cake has just recently moved to Pacific Heights, making this its third relocation. Orson, her second restaurant, features her contemporary California cuisine focusing on American classic dishes.
3 Hubert Keller
With his long flowing blonde hair and French accent, Hubert Keller is one of the world’s most recognizable chefs. His staple restaurant, Fleur de Lys, has been one of the best restaurants in San Francisco, since he became the co-owner and executive chef in 1986. Hubert places third on Top Chef Masters in 2009 and is currently a judge on Top Chef: Just Desserts.
4 Michael Mina
Michael Mina might well be considered the San Francisco celebrity chef. He has a staggering four restaurants in the city of San Francisco alone. His namesake, MICHAEL MINA, has recently moved venues from The Westin St. Francis into the Financial District. His new venture, Bourbon Steak, has taken the spot in The Westin, across from Clock Bar.

5 Traci Des Jardins
Chef Des Jardins was named the best chef in the Pacific region by the James Beard Foundation in 2007. Her signature restaurant, Jardiniere, has been considered one of the best restaurants in San Francisco, since opening in 1997. In March of 2010, she opened Public House and Mijita at AT&T Park. These two adjoining restaurants serve the best of American pub and Mexican cuisine.
