You’re probably already a fan of Haven Gastropub’s comfort food — and if you’re not you should get to Orange ASAP and give it a try, but to keep the menu fresh and seasonal, Chef Greg Daniels is adding a slew of new offerings for you to try. And in true Haven style, you can be sure it’s hearty and feeds your tummy and your soul alike.
With more than a dozen new additions to Haven’s already extensive menu, it’ll take more than one visit to taste them all, but trust us when we say it’ll be anything but a chore. For the daring, there’s Daniels’ take on liver and onions, which has crispy duck liver and onion jam, and for the traditionalist, there’s a classic pot au feu on the menu as well as a cassoulet. Both will definitely stave any chill you might get, but for true foodies, there’ll be nothing better than the lamb burger (pictured above) or the Wagyu beef offerings. Take it tartare style or in a New York steak au poivre style.
Blending the European staples like shepherd’s pie and pot au feu with American staples like mac ‘n cheese and chicken and waffles is what Daniels does best, so you can be sure that these seasonal offerings will have all the hearty taste and heartwarming comfort that the menu mainstays have. And save room for dessert, because as always, Haven’s got their selection of ice cream, which are always spiked with unexpected flavors like bacon, tobacco and more.
