On Sunday, Dec. 12, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., curated design and indie fashion group Thread will be showing at the Icehouse in Phoenix. Turn out to discover the best of the best from emerging artists and designers, including music, books, art, men’s and women’s clothing, accessories, jewelry and more.
CEO Lara Matthews founded Thread with the intention of bridging the gap between mainstream art and fashion and all that’s high-end. However, as any good stylista knows, many designer brands that are now highly sought-after were once largely unheard of and began as something different, something that pushed the envelope.
Since 2003, Thread has been using its crystal ball to see into the future and bring residents of major cities all across the U.S. the latest chic fashions from independent designers. And it’s Threads ability to deliver that makes people queue for blocks time and time again for the chance to make their way into one of these shows. On Dec. 12, Phoenicians with a keen eye for originality who thrill at snagging one-of-a-kind garments, will no doubt line up, too.
For one day only, take advantage of chill beats by a DJ and a stylish martini lounge during your time shopping racks of trend-pushing items from participants such as AboveUnderground Clothing Co., Angela Johnson, Apache Skateboards/ D=MC2, Bad Moe Foe, Black Russian Label, Femme Athletic – Phoenix Fashion Week, Grammatique, Kayfabe!
