The Best Places to Dine in Miami: Christmas Weekend 2010, Part 2

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day reservations are getting filled up by the minute. Book yours today! Here are some more suggestions to follow up on Monday’s list of haute Miami restaurants that will be offering specialty menus this Christmas.

Bizcaya at The Ritz-Carlton, Coconut Grove


For Christmas Eve, Bizcaya restaurant is offering a spectacular five-course traditional Italian feast. Menu items will include a roasted lamb loin with fig tapenade, oregano organic turkey and grilled beef tenderloin with Gorgonzola ravioli. Dinner served from 6 to 10 p.m., $67 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity; $34 for children 12 and under.

Return to Bizcaya on Christmas Day for its grand Christmas brunch buffet. Listen to the sounds of a live holiday ensemble while perusing the buffet table of delectable Tuscan-inspired fare, carving station, and special items for children. Brunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., $72 per person; $37 for children 12 and under.

Scarpetta at the Fontainebleau

Spend Christmas dinner at celebrity Chef Scott Conant’s Scarpetta at the Fontainebleau hotel, where they will be serving both its award-winning dinner menu in addition to an optional $75 prix-fixe menu ($33 for children 12 and under.) Dinner will be served in the restaurant from 6 p.m. to midnight. Stop by the lounge for a before or after-dinner drink. The lounge will be open on Christmas from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m.If you’re spending Christmas dinner at home, you can always order a festive pie, cake or tart from the Fontainebleau’s delectable bakery, Solo.

Azul at Mandarin Oriental

Azul, Mandarin Oriental, Miami’s signature restaurant, has a delicious five-course holiday dinner menu prepared for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in addition to a limited a la carte menu. On both days dinner will be served from 7 to 11 p.m., $Highlights of the meal will include a Kona kampachi tartare, braised short rib ravioli, Atlantic flounder, suckling pig “en porchetta” and for dessert, a gingerbread chocolate yule log with roasted pineapple and chocolate caramel ice cream. $95 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity

Eden South Beach

One of South Beach’s newest garden-to-table restaurants will offer a special three-course holiday menu. First course will include field greens with cherry tomatoes, cucumber and garlic croutons in a toasted garlic vinaigrette; second course will be their an herb-crusted prime rib served with spinach, baby carrots, creamed pearl onions and rosemary au jus. And For dessert, savor their Black Forest cake topped with brandied cherries and Tahitian vanilla ice cream. $55 per person. Eden will also be offering select items from their regular dinner menu.
