Shakespeare's Corner Shoppe and Afternoon Tea

What's in a name? Well, a lot in this case, as the name pretty much says it all! With this family owned and operated little spot being in business more than 15 years, you can understand why their growth has also made them a presence online, where you can purchase their yummy goodies via the Internet now. For this list, though, we appreciate their long-standing tea house hours. Thursday through Sunday until 4 p.m., afternoon tea is held in the shoppe complete with finger sandwiches, biscuits, and sweets, to accompany your cup of tea. With attention to detail and tradition, they are hard to beat for afternoon tea.

Cafe Chloe

Cafe Chloe does up an "urban tea" that tops all others. Bringing a little French to their tea, as opposed to the usual British vibe, Cafe Chloe is such an adorable, wonderful place to visit in general, it's even better for tea. From 3:00-5:00pm they serve up their afternoon tea and it's topped with housemade cakes and  a cup of tea or prosecco. Elegant and delicious, just as tea should be!

4

Mrs. Burton's Tea Room

This isn't your usual tea house, because Mrs. Burton's brings the tea to you! There used to be a little spot in town where you could walk through Mrs. Burton's tea house doors and have a seat, and while we were all sad to see those doors close, she hasn't lost her spot in tea fame because all those little touches are mobile in San Diego now! Host a Mrs. Burton's tea party, and turn your own house into one of the best tea parlors in town! Bringing along her assortment of Victorian costumes, dishes, and all the homemade tea goodies such as scones and finger sandwiches to your home, Mrs. Burton's knows a tea party.
